We want you to know that another Habitat home will soon be dedicated and another deserving family will be under a warm, tight roof. On Sunday, January 27th at 2 PM the other half of the duplex that was recently completed at 33 LaFountain St. in the North End of Burlington is the place of this happy occasion. The Dumas family – Adam, Kala, daughter Tamary and 4 month old son Jackson will occupy this unit. You are heartily invited to join this family and others to dedicate and celebrate the building’s completion!
This project is the result of the partnership of Lowes Building Supply and Habitat’s Women Build Program – the first of this kind for Green Mountain Habitat. Come see what women builders have helped create! If you would like more information please call our office, at 872-8726

Editor's Note: As Christmas approaches, and the ground is covered with snow, warm up with Greg EplerWood's review of our community picnic last July.
The weather was great, the food was delicious, the kids and adult games were amazingly fun, the music was superb, and the turnout was spectacular!! This year our annual summer croquet fundraising event was transformed into our new, improved and expanded Habitat Community Picnic at Shelburne Farms.

On January 26th, 2008 college and high school rowing crew teams across the nation will row together to help raise money for their local habitat for humanity affiliates. By providing precious seed money, rowers and their sponsors will be helping to build homes for their communities while also sharing the unique sport of rowing. With your help, we can make a tremendous difference!
Again this year, University of Vermont's mens and womens crew teams have invited us to join with them to make this season's ROW FOR HUMANITY the largest single donation that Green Mountain HABITAT FOR HUMANITY receives from a grassroots event.
You can help in two ways. Sign up as a Rower, either as yourself or as a team, and then find Sponsors who will donate money as you Row for Humanity! Or if you want to donate without actually rowing, contact us and we'll find a person or team for you to sponsor. Either way, 100% of what we raise will go toward helping a deserving family here in northwestern Vermont purchase a clean, modest, safe and energy-efficient home.
Contact Habitat Row-A-Thon Coordinator AMY RICHARDSON at 802-899-4547, or email
