Not handy with a hammer? (Non-construction volunteering)
Perhaps you can't make it out to one of our build sites, but would still like to help GMHfH? Well you can! It takes a village, in fact, it takes a whole community to step up to the challenge of eliminating poverty housing. We need volunteers to help us in a variety of roles on and off the construction site. Many you can do from the comfort of your own home. Below are just a few of the volunteer positions we need to fill.

Assist our Publicity/Media Coordinator with special press releases and news article submissions. Press releases and advertisements will be sent to various news outlets, radio, and TV. Develop a network of “ambassadors” in each community (example: Front Porch Forum) who will help us get the word out on events. If you would like to know more, please contact:

We need a few experienced carpenters/builders that would be willing to NOT swing a hammer. Yes, NOT swing a hammer. We have many volunteers that want to help build our houses and we are in need of a few skilled men and women that would be willing to show others how to build. If you would like to help Habitat from your home, grant writing could be the way you can. We need good writers to help us apply for grants to help us build Habitat homes.
