Why is there a financial donation?
Teams contribute a tax-deductible donation to cover the cost of building materials and supervision for your build day. This financial support also allows us to continue to provide affordable housing opportunities for families with limited incomes and establish safe neighborhoods. With such high housing and land costs in Chittenden County, financial donations are crucial in helping us to serve more families.
Teams contribute a donation amount based on the size of their group. We ask for $1000 for every 10 volunteers, or $100 per individual, and have a 10 person capacity on-site each day. If you have more than 10 people wanting to participate, you’re welcome to reserve multiple build days.
What do groups receive?
- Your logo posted on our website as a community partner for a full calendar year
- Private tour of our construction site for anyone unable to attend
- Lunch provided on your build day
- T-shirt for each participant
- Thank you shout out on Facebook, Instagram and in our e-newsletters
How do I sign up?
Fill out an inquiry form below, and a Habitat staff member will contact you with build options based on your preferences. Once you’re on our construction calendar, we’ll send over instructions to help guide your volunteers through online registration so they can officially reserve their spot!
Where do we submit donations?
Please send Team Build donations to Catherine Stevens, Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity, 335 Cornerstone Drive, Suite 335, Williston, VT 05495. If submitting a check, please write “Team Build” and your group name in the memo line.
