Building homes and changing lives in Northwest Vermont.

Habitat ReStores

Your purchases and donations help build homes.

Here’s how it works.

Our Habitat ReStores accept donations of new and gently used items (that would otherwise go to the landfill) and then sells them to the public at discounted prices. The sale proceeds stay local, helping Green Mountain Habitat buy the land, building materials, and services needed to build affordable homes in Chittenden, Franklin, Grand Isle, and Lamoille counties.

Donate resellable items you no longer need, want, or can use. You can drop them off, or schedule a free pickup.

Donations are flowing in, and we could use some help. No experience is necessary, just a willingness to assist and have fun.

3,000,000+ pounds of materials diverted from landfills

At Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity, environmental sustainability is top of mind year-round. Our homes are built to the highest energy-efficiency standards — we even built Vermont’s first certified passive house. Our Habitat ReStores are another example of our efforts, diverting more than 3 million pounds of materials from landfills last year alone.

We encourage you to help keep more unwanted goods from our waste stream by donating your new and gently used furniture, appliances, home décor, clothing, or other reusable items you no longer need. Together, we can positively impact the lives of local families, our communities, and the planet.
