Help us in the ReStore!
Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity ReStore volunteers bring new skills and build capacity to help operate our three ReStore locations in Williston, Milton, and Swanton. Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity uses funds raised by its ReStores to help families build homes in Northwest Vermont. By giving your time and talents, you can help the Green Mountain Habitat ReStore do more to support homebuilding projects that benefit families in your community and around the world.
What does a ReStore Volunteer do?
Our volunteers help with the day-to-day operations of the ReStores. No retail experience is necessary, just a willingness to learn and have fun! Some examples of tasks are:
- Merchandising and creating decorative displays
- DIY projects
- Customer service
- Stocking store shelves
- Unloading trucks
- Pricing inventory
- Organizing the ReStore and the warehouse
- Testing electronics
- And more!
How to Volunteer
- Volunteers must be 16+ and sign a waiver before participating.
- Closed-toed shoes are required.
- We recommend wearing clothes you don’t mind getting dirty or even ruined.
- We provide snacks but feel free to bring your own or to bring a bag lunch if you think you need it.
- All tools, training, and safety equipment are provided.
