Hammering Home: Hinesburg Wallraising

Hinesburg Wallraising Event

Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity held a Wallraising Event in Hinesburg VT, where we invited supporters to come out and speak about the importance of their partnership with Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity, and quite literally raise a wall!

This wallraising marks an important milestone in expanding affordable homeownership opportunities to deserving people in our community. Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity is pleased to be working with the Town of Hinesburg. This collaboration demonstrates the power of partnership in creating lasting solutions to Vermont’s housing shortage. We couldn't succeed without the help of our many community partners and volunteers.

“Our Habitat homes in Hinesburg represent what is possible when community organizations come together to address one of Vermont’s most pressing challenges. These homes will provide more than shelter – they will provide opportunities for affordable homeownership, wealth creation, growing families, aging in place, and a brighter future.”

-Brett Johnson, CEO of Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity

Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization that partners with financial donors, local families and community partners to build and sell affordable homes in Northwest Vermont. Habitat homebuyers help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. Through our efforts, more than 126 families have achieved the strength, stability and independence needed to build a better life for themselves and their families.
