WILLISTON, VERMONT (2/2024) – Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity is partnering with Vermont Teddy Bear in celebration of their 40th anniversary. Vermont Teddy Bear has generously donated a bear for each child that is moving into a Green Mountain Habitat home in 2024.
Vermont Teddy Bear has donated a 13” bear that is wearing a t-shirt with Green Mountain Habitat and Vermont Teddy Bear logos.
The first bears were handed out to a partner family during the Home Dedication at Canyon Estates Drive in Colchester. The family has five children, so each child received a bear to commemorate this milestone for their family.
“This is a great way to further include the children in the Home Dedication and to show them that we are so excited for them to be able to grow up in a safe home,” said David Mullin, CEO of Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity.
Development Coordinator, Amy Pearl, connected her past experiences with Vermont Teddy Bear to her work at Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity.
“Through my previous work at VTB and knowing how they are such a part of our local community, I made the connection and asked if they would consider donating these special bears to the children of our partner families. We are thrilled to be partnering with them,” said Pearl.
Vermont Teddy Bear is a local stuffed animal manufacturer in Shelburne, Vermont. Their bears are sewed, stuffed, and stitched in the USA, according to their website. Each one of the bears is meticulously designed and stuffed, and each friend is guaranteed for a lifetime, which makes them ideal gifts for people of all ages.
“We’re very much looking forward to supporting the work of Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity. Being able to provide these children with Teddy Bears reflects our commitment to making positive impacts, giving back to our community, and sharing a lifetime of love,” said Bill Shouldice, CEO of Vermont Teddy Bear.

About Habitat for Humanity
Driven by the vision that everyone needs a decent place to live, Habitat for Humanity began in 1976 as a grassroots effort on a community farm in southern Georgia. The non-profit housing organization has since become a leading global nonprofit working in local communities across all 50 states in the U.S. and more than 70 countries. Families and individuals who need a hand-up partner with Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home.
