On Sunday, April 14 we held two dedications for our partner families at Lefty Lane in Swanton. The celebrations mark the beginning of a new chapter, and we celebrate their efforts that it took to achieve homeownership.
The celebration typically includes words from the family members, words from staff and volunteers at Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity, a blessing by a religiously affiliated figure, and cake.
Each family member receives a quilt from Sew&Sew. For our 40th anniversary, Vermont Teddy Bear Company has donated a teddy bear for each child that moves into a Habitat home.
