Williston, VT — Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity reports that a fire occurred at its Williston ReStore location and was quickly contained to a small area in the store’s back room. The fire did not spread to other parts of the building, preventing more extensive damage.
All individuals in the store at the time are safe, and no injuries have been reported.
The organization is now assessing the extent of smoke impact throughout the store, as smoke may have affected inventory and building areas beyond the fire’s origin. Teams are working to evaluate all items and ensure the space meets safety and quality standards.
Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity is taking all necessary steps to safely reopen the store as soon as possible and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
The organization also extends sincere thanks to first responders and the community for their support.
