BURLINGTON, VERMONT (9/26/2024) — Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity is thrilled to present the inaugural Raise the Roof Award to Vermont Construction Company.
This award recognizes a local business whose outstanding generosity toward Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity’s mission of building homes, communities, and hope has made a meaningful difference for families in Northwest Vermont.
“We could not be more thankful for this partnership,” said David Mullin, CEO of Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity. “Their contribution to our organization is going to help change families lives in such amazing ways.”
The partnership with Vermont Construction Company began in early 2023, and they committed to donating a new roof to every new Habitat for Humanity home. In total, Vermont Construction has installed four roofs for Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity since the partnership began.
“We are honored to be presented Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity’s Raise the Wall Award. Our team takes great pride in helping provide affordable homes for Vermonters,” said David Richards, co-founder of Vermont Construction Company.
This partnership helps reduce the cost of construction for Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity. Since homes are sold to partner families at cost, Vermont Construction is helping to make homeownership more affordable for hardworking Vermonters.
