Volunteer as an Individual
Habitat homes are built primarily by volunteers. No construction experience is necessary, although it is appreciated, and all tools, safety equipment and building materials are provided. We build on a Monday through Friday, 8AM-3PM schedule and volunteers must be 18 years of age or older to participate.

Plan on coming out? Printing and signing our Volunteer Liability Waiver at home saves us valuable time on-site. Simply hand it to our Constriction Supervisor upon arrival, and you’ll set to build!
Frequently asked Questions
Do I need construction experience to help build?
No — it’s great if you have construction skills, but certainly not necessary. Our Construction Supervisor will ensure you have the proper training needed for the task at hand. If you happen to have expertise in a certain area of construction, let us know; we’d love to utilize your skills!
What should I wear?
Please wear work appropriate clothing you don’t mind getting dirty, torn, or even ruined. Closed-toe shoes are required, with work boots are preferred, and we recommend dressing in layers appropriate for both indoor and outdoor work.
How old do you have to be to volunteer?
Construction sites, by nature, are dangerous environments. Youth under the age of 18 are not allowed to volunteer on-site, and adults 18 years of age and olderare required to sign a Volunteer Liability Wavier.
